L-Style Weekend Update

The L-Style family has grown! We are excited to have Anne Kramer and Holly Frary join the ladies team. They’re smart, friendly and knowledgeable and we are lucky to have them onboard the L-Style team.

Also signed this week as L-Style’s newest PREMIUM player is the fabulous Jim Widmayer from Staten Island NY. Jim has been playing darts since the 1980’s and has more titles than I could begin to list here. His most recent accomplishment was to repeat as the Las Vegas Open Cricket Singles Champion.

(See if you can locate Jim in this 1994 Photo?)

He was was among the elite Americans invited by the newly formed WDC (now PDC) to participate in their newly formed events designed to offer an alternative to the floundering BDO. Jim was there when Larry Butler won the 1st World Matchplay! He has proudly represented the USA in numerous International events including the World Cup and World Masters. Jim is a great addition to the L-Style Premium Team. If you are in Portland Maine this weekend congratulate him on joining the team!

Joining Jim in Portland this weekend you’ll find L-Style Premium team Larry Butler and Bob Sinnaeve, the duo of Gordon Dixon and DJ Sayre, Chuck Pankow , Andrew Briere and the father son team of Sean Moran and Kyle Yazbek. Look around and I’m sure you’ll see other members of our team! When you find one, ask him (or her) why L-Style works for them. Authorized distributor THE DART GUYS will have a store there with a full line of L-Style Products available for purchase.

Donnie Joe and Brenda Rousch will be in Austin Texas this weekend at the Capital City Classic. Ask them why L-Style products are the best!

Also in action this weekend is Premium player Johnny Kuczynski. Johnny led his team to the Pennsylvania State Widdy Finals 2 weeks ago and the event culminates this Saturday. They went undefeated in the qualifiers and are sure to be a force to reckon with in the finals. Good Luck Johnny!

The Scott’s (Burnett and Kirchner) are tossing their slightly lighter weight tungsten in Sacremento CA at the Action Dart League Finals! I bet you’ll find Chris Lim there too!

I’ll quickly mention some of last weekend’s fabulous finishes. I was privileged to score the finals of the Friday night Pro Shoot 401 in Syracuse. Johnny K swept through that event flawlessly and came out on top! The next day Larry Butler took the Cricket Singles title and then teamed Marilyn Popp for the first place finish in the Mixed Doubles. Close to home Chuck Pankow swept the singles events at a one day event in Nashville.

If you have seen a fabulous finish by an L-Style Player be sure to let me know. If you’d like to know how L-Style products can help your game just ask a team member or send us a message. We can be found on Facebook. We would love to hear from you.

L-Style Weekend Update

By Sharon Butler

Although I write this as an update to inform you all about the L-style teams weekend dart plans, dart players and dart fans, sometimes life events supersede all.

On Monday, one of the younger L-Style players will pack away his darts (although temporarily we hope), take down his board and head to San Antonio to become a hero. Jared Sullivan leaves for San Antonio Texas for 8 1/2 weeks of basic training followed by 13 ½ weeks of technical school. He will then be on for the long commitment required of the United States Armed Services. We all should be very proud of Jared's decision to join the US Air Force and wish him well! Thank you for taking on the most important job in America, Jared!

While Jared spent time with his friends and family this past weekend, some of team L-Style was out and about from coast to coast playing darts of all kinds.

In the American (Widdy) darts world, John Kuczynski was in PA winning his way to the finals in The Pennsylvania State Championships. His team went undefeated for the day and play for the title on February 25th! Good luck to him and his team.

The soft tip world saw Paul and Chris Lim along with Scotty Burnett play in the Dartslive NCS in Southern California. Congrats to Paul and Scott for their 1st and 2nd place finishes.

Also playing soft tip darts were Scott Kirchner and Randy Van Duersen. Although the exact results have not been reported, I've heard they both picked up their fair share of winnings in Madison Wisconsin.

Team L-Style also snatched up a good share of the Steel Tip purses being offered around the USA!

Staying close to home Gordon Dixon swept the singles events at the Bloodshot and picked up a doubles win with DJ Sayre. Also playing in his hometown was Scotty Burnett. After playing in LA on Saturday he returned to Sacramento in time to win the doubles event on Sunday at the Camellia Classic. Larry Butler and Bob Sinnaeve made the long trip to California worthwhile with win in the Mixed Triples with Stacy Bromberg and settled for 2nd in the Cricket doubles. Larry picked up the LOTD and the 501 Singles titles while Bob chopped the Cricket Singles. Stacy left there with both singles titles and a doubles title too.

Our favorite lady darter from the north Cindy Pardy picked up the ladies single title and teamed with her partner in darts and in life Terry Hayhurst to win the mixed doubles at the Snowflake tourney in Edmonton Alberta Canada.

Congrats to everyone who attended events this past weekend. It will be another busy weekend coming up for L-style team. You can see them competing in events located in Syracuse NY, the always fun and competitive Queen Mary Shoot and many local events in L-Style players hometowns. Remember, if you see an L-Style player ask him (or her) to explain why L-Style equipment is right for them. It just may be right for you too!

Team L-Style February Update

By Sharon Butler

With the excitement of the Las Vegas Open and the National Cricket Championships in Las Vegas over, L-Style players will be scurrying around the US this weekend to compete in a number of events. You will see members of the team competing in steel tip, soft tip, and even a good old Widdy (American Darts) event on the calendar. With events scheduled in Sacramento Ca, Los Angeles CA, Solomans MD, Columbus and Youngstown Ohio, this 2nd weekend of February is sure to be a busy one for Team L-Style.

A few of them will be taking the weekend off and while not tossing them in competition, we can all be sure a few rounds on a practice board will be included. Feel better soon to L-Style Premier player Brenda Rousch who was scheduled to be in Sacramento, but has succumbed to the latest bug that has bitten quite a few of us lately, Get Well Quickly Brenda! Bill Davis from Philadelphia will take in a cultural event or two while Sean Moran will be busy rooting on L-Style Youth player Kyle as he sets down his darts for a pair of skates and a hockey stick to participate in a local tournament. Chuck Pankow will stay close to home to care for his beloved girls, while Donnie Joe also passes on the weekends activities to rest his eyes and arrows!

L-Style Premier players Larry Butler, Bob Sinnaeve, and Stacy Bromberg will meet Eddie Lawrence in California to grab a share of the $17,500 offered up at the Camellia Classic. Scotty Burnett plans to bookend the Camilla with a stint in Southern California on Saturday for the Dartslive Monthly Count Up event where he’ll be joined by Darn Garlough and Chris Lim

Both Scott Kirchner and Randy “Big Dog” Van Deursen will brave what is forecast to be “finally winter here” in the Midwest and stay in state, for a soft tip event in Madison.

L-Style Premier player Johnny K can be seen playing for a spot at the The 44th Annual 2012 PA State Dart Tournament. The Longest Consecutively Running Dart Tournament in the World since “1969”!

Elle-Style player Gloria Gutierrez will be competing in the 1st stop on the DPNY/Atlantis 2012 Ladies Players Tour Event. Good luck to all the ladies attending!Gloria Gutierrez

Not to be forgotten the newest L-Style premium player Gordon Dixon and his partner in travel and in darts DJ Sayre will likely to be spotted here in Ohio at a favorite hometown event , the Bloodshot Open in Columbus and making an appearance on Sunday in Youngstown. Don’t be fooled though…You never can be really sure where those two will show up!

If you spot an L-Style player, let us know! We know they’re out there!

Check back next week for weekly results and future sightings!
